Yeong Yang complies with the EU-Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE); EU-Directive 2003/11/EC(Council Directive 76/769/EEC) and EU-Directive 2002/95/EC on Restriction on the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS).

Yeong Yang Products are "Lead Free" and do not use the restricted hazardous substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PDBE).

Yeong Yang has used "hexavalent chromium free" sheet metal for producing the YY chassis since July 2004.
