Requirement for RoHS
(2004.08.01 )

Yeong Yang has started a number of activities to design and manufacture its products to meet the requirements of RoHS( Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substance in electrical and electronic equipment) and WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment). The importance of such directives should be underlined.

They lead to Waste Prevention.
They can be seen as a tool for innovation: Improve the durability, the repair-friendliness, the modular construction, the use of non-hazardous substances and the recyclability of consumer goods.
Market failure is corrected, by reconverting social costs into private ones: The producer and hence later the consumer has to pay the full costs for end-of-life electronics.
They are elements of a comprehensive product policy.

To help achieve the above missions, Yeong Yang is taking actions on:

  • YY declares not to use/produce the materials contain hazardous substance
For example, the raw sheet metal now being using is Kobe GX-K2 Greencoat, which does not use restricted Hazardous substances, such as hexavalent chromium.
    Declaration of Conformity

  • YY designs products with user friendly and earth friendly concept
For example; Less packaging materials and packaging materials that are easy to recycle.

  • YY factory Safety Operation / Waste Recycle Promotion is a continuous process
